Leung Fung Shi of Shun Tak District, 3 years ago
(lunar calendar) sold her own daughter, Leung Pak Mee, 7
years of age, to Ng Choy Shi, residing at 145 Kowloon
Tong, ground floor as a mui tsai for the sum of 95 dollars
Canton Currency, on condition that the mother would have
the right of visit to see the girl from time to time.
It appears that Ng Choy Shi now asks Leung Fung
Shi to redeem the girl, otherwise she will be resold.
Leung Fung Shi appeals to this Society for assistance
in taking up the question at issue on her behalf.
The girl, Leung Pak Mee, is 10 years of age
and is willing to ve restored to the custody of her
mother.
Leung Fung Shi is temporarily staying with Lee
Tim, her clansman at 50 Mongkok Road, Kowloon, ground floor.
Thehusband of Leung Fung Shi is in the village
and his occupation is to rear fishes and cultivate mulberry
trees.
